sprint-logo1.jpgAs one of our previous post was written about a Sprint Sero Plan and its great deal. I was skeptical at first. Also considering it would be my first phone i would have to pay by myself and i did not want to get screwed over. But before i checked out other options from companies like t-mobile especialy cause i was with t-mobile under my parents plan. But soon they hinted i would be cut off and i must find my own plan to pay for. So i searched out deals online and even went into cellular stores asking what they could give me. T mobile had some good plans but i would have to pay a lot more for extras i wanted. So i then thought to try out this Sprint Sero employee refferal offer. Checking several times to make sure i was not going to be billed to death with the service. I selected the 500 minutes Fair and Flexible Plan and came with unlimited texting, unlimited data and unlimited Vision web access. Choosing the Motorola Q as a phone. Costing about $250 but with a mail in rebate offer for $100. Finally i ordered online filling out all the info and putting in back account info so that they could charge me. About 6-10 minutes after Ii got the email showing what they charged me, what plan I selected and other information about to confirm my order. The next i get a call from them to confirm my order, asking if im Frankie and to give confirmation order number. Then they tell me i need to put a deposit down cause i have no line of credit. I painstakingly say yes to charge me and they say thank you for letting us take your money. Ok so they didnt say that last part but you know they were thinking it. I finally get my order tracking number and so i check out when my phone will arrive. Say it will be about another day. (By the way, I ordered all of this sunday night, got a call the next day and got my order confirmed same day.) So i expect it to be here about Tuesday the next day i again check my order before head off to work. Come home about 4:00 plm and it already arrived! I was really surprised. Especially because Sprint did not charge me for shipping and handling.

So far i have had it for about a week and i love it.i get great reception everywhere i go, my calls are clear, i can access the web anywhere, use my phone as a modem for my laptop if i have to, free nights (start at 7:00pm) and weekends and have unlimited texting. All for$ 30 a month! So if your looking for a great plan and want deal i suggest you go here: http://Sprint.com/sero. Use brokenzero@sprintemi.com for email address. Also i suggest you pick your phone before choosing a plan. Not all phone are compatible with certain plans.

As of today i got my first bill and came out to $36.23. I only had used 54 minutes because i only had it for like 3 days prior of the billing period. Sprints bill period is on the 20th of each month. But within 3 days i had used 700+ text and 25 Mb of data. Which would have costed me a lot if i did not have unlimited. Also i payed a lot more upfront because of choosing the Motorola Q but it was worth it to me.
Also i have been busy with working and going to school so that is why i have not posted in awhile. I was iust too tired all the time. Today i finally got a break.

Anyways, check back for more deals and steals at http://Brokenzero.com

So It has been confirmed that Miivi.com is registered to Media Defender. If you don’t know who that is, basically it is the MPAA little snoops on the internet. miiviTheir latest scheme unraveled by many and even emails stolen from them with information regarding the site to catch unsuspecting downloaders. There is also phone calls recorded from MediaDefender and posted in ogg format. Emails that were leaked contain a great deal of information about MediaDefender trying cover its own tracks. Even one email talking about changing references and WHOIS info. “I’m not sure if you guys are planning on going live with the Viide domain name….but in case you are….you might want to remove all references of Miivi on the homepage of viide.com before it gets Googled or someone public comes across it. For example, at the bottom under terms of service and on the HTML Title where it says “MiiVi, Inc”, and probably the default image of the skyscrapers (which are the same as Miivi). Also, the WHOIS information is still linked to MediaDefender, Inc.”

Yet, still Media Defender is trying to say that in no way this is a project for the MPAA. Stating to TorrentFreak that the site was “accidentally un-secured internal project” Like we believe that…

Anyways, to check out all the info on MediaDefender and its “non-affiliated internal project MiiVi” and leaked emails go here: http://mediadefender-defenders.com/

I’m going to take the time to announce that everyonce in a while, I will be posting a fun random story of something that I’ve found interesting around the internet. Thats all, now on to my post.

To day, while going though the vast space of the internet, I found this really cool, well written essay written by a guy in college who was apparently “high”. I say he must have been high when he turned it in as well, but since he still got a pretty high (omg the that word again) grade, I’ll just let you take a peek at it and decide for your self. Leave a comment on what you think.

And the questions just keep coming. The question that I really felt like that i had to avirus.gifnswer. Was “How do I keep my windows machine from getting viruses?” As anything i would say simple, but thats not always the case since some people don’t always know that you can use free programs to protect your computer and don’t have to buy expensive subscription based programs like Norton, McAfee, etc. So heres a quick list of programs that I use to keep my computer virus free, and they are also free.

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition

AVG Anti-Spyware Free Edition

ZoneAlarm Firewall Free

Please note that this isn’t the absolute best combination, but it does the job, and its free, so you have absolutely nothing to loose.

Post your combination of freeware programs that keeps your computer safe in the comments.
